What is Genderbility?

genderbility is a lived experience-based zine for young autistic and gender-diverse people. genderbility is unique in how it embraces intersectional lived experience and prioritises the needs of young autistic gender-diverse people. This project works to help an underserved and underrepresented group, through the values of community care, compassion and grassroots organising in a creative and accessible format. Moreover, this project represents the capacity for autistic gender-diverse individuals to self-advocate, thus going against the narrative of infantilisation that is very popular in resources aimed towards our community.

hello !! i’m X. I’m a 20 year old multiply disabled transmasc lesbian and art student. I love to create mixed media, experimental sculpture based artworks. My special interest is zines, I make a multi-issue collaborative zine about multi marginalised queerness called DYKEOTOMY. I have been a director of Genderbility since early 2025. I love organising events and connecting with my community !!

Charlie / Clementine (they/he)

I'm a multipley disabled non-binary femme creative residing on Wangal land with roots on Darug land, where sovereignty was never ceded. My work reflects my love for cats, storytelling, and exploration of my queer disabled experiences. I'm passionate for zine-making, photography, graphic design, writing, and illustration.

Conor-Parkinson Brown (he/him)

I am an artist, writer and zine maker based in Gadigal land. I work mostly in mediums of charcoal, ink, lino printmaking, graphite, photography and mixed media collage to create. My practice in Genderbility centres my lived experienced as a trans man with disabilities. I am passionate about language, history and the arts. I use my creative practices to explore one’s relationship with themselves when living within intersectional minorities and healing from traumatic experiences.

Vik (he/him)

Hi! My name is Viktor, and I’m an indigenous artist from Darumbal, working in Gadigal country! In my spare time you can find me writing new music, pinning my latest collection of insects or just playing with my bird! I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and it heavily influences my art! My art focuses on nostalgic media, and how queerness is represented through cartoons!

Fay (they/them)

i'm a queer, Aboriginal, DeafBlind and multipley disabled person. I live and create on unceded Bunurong/Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung land. My main practice is fibre arts i do a bit of anything and everything. Im very involved in my local community and the community I grew up in and community is one of the core aspects of my art and myself.

I reside and create on boon-wurrung/bunurong and yalukit-willam land. i’m a queer, disabled and neurodivergent artist with a passion for collage and printmaking as well as textile and fibre arts. i’m currently studying a diploma of auslan

Tara (they/them)

Tara is a genderfluid autistic person working on stolen Dharawal and Gadigal country. They are currently studying a Diploma of Music Business at TAFE and uses their industry experience to shape their work as an event coordinator and grant researcher for Genderbility. Tara uses a mixture of digital and physical art mediums to express themself as well as regulate. They are a familiar face in Sydney & Wollongong live music scenes and enjoy reading about queer, art, zine and music history.
